Forklift Driver

Position Summary

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the manufacturing warehouse. This role supports production operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Supply production lines with required materials and remove finished products as needed.
• Perform inventory transactions and material movements accurately.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete required equipment checklists.
• Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations and assist with cycle counts.
• Work with BOL’s and a MRP system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous forklift operation experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Basic math and inventory counting skills.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and shipping documents.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse and manufacturing temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment for extended periods.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, machinery, noise, and industrial materials.
• Requires adherence to PPE and safety requirements.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
