Yard Switcher Jobs in Webberville, MI at Sharp Transit
We are Sharp Transit, an in-house carrier for Aldi – one of the nation’s largest grocery store chains. . We have immediate openings for two Night Time Yard Switchers to join our exceptional team in Webberville, MI.
These position will work 7pm – 7am. One will work on on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday. The other postion will work on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Move trailers to multiple onsite locations
- Responsible for getting trailers to Fleet Manager when needed
- Responsible for keeping the trailers organized on the yard
- Responsible for performing a yard check daily, and communicating any issues
- Report safety, quality, and equipment issues to supervisor
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections including but not limited to checking oil level, water level, fuel level and visually inspecting both the tractor and the trailer filling out required paperwork
- Hook up tractor to trailer, which includes backing under the trailer, raising landing gear, and hookup up air lines
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- CDL preferred but not required
- Must have at least of 1 year of recent verifiable yard switching or CDLA tractor trailer driving experience experience

With six terminals from Michigan to South Florida, we provide Aldi with warehouse to store delivery services.
