Revenue generated through our thrift stores directly supports the Dallas Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s outreach programs, providing financial assistance and essential services to individuals and families in need throughout North Texas. The Driver/Donation Intake Specialist plays a key role in our mission by professionally receiving and transporting donated goods while building positive relationships with donors and customers through outstanding service.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Receives, processes, and performs a primary sort of donated merchandise
- Follows proper procedures for donor pickups and deliveries
- Maintains knowledge of goods the store does and does not accept
- Ensures precise directions to pick up and delivery points
- Loads/unloads truck by hand and takes precaution to avoid damaging merchandise
Job Requirements:
- Available to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Able to stand & walk for extended periods of time
- Able to bend, stoop, and kneel
- Lift up to 60 pounds or more
- Walk, see, and hear sufficiently well to perform assigned tasks
- Valid Texas driver’s license, clean driving record
- Experience driving Box Trucks (16 to 24 foot trucks)
Salary:
- Starting $17 to $20 ; varies depending on experience
Required experience:
- Forklift: 1 years (preferred, not needed)
- Driving Box Trucks: 1 year (preferred)
Required license or certification:
- Valid Texas Driver License (Class C)
