Great Lakes Tent Co. is hiring Tent Installers & Drivers to help set up and deliver equipment for weddings, festivals, corporate events, and private parties. Every day is different, and you’ll be working outdoors building impressive event setups while learning valuable skills.

Position Summary
The Driver / Tent Installer plays an important role in delivering equipment and setting up event infrastructure safely and efficiently.
You will operate company vehicles (typically 26′ box trucks) to transport rental equipment and assist with installation and breakdown of tents and event structures. This position requires teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
We are looking for individuals who are dependable, motivated, and eager to learn the event rental industry.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles and transport equipment to event sites
- Perform truck inspections before leaving the warehouse and before routes
- Check trucks for proper loading and equipment
- Install and remove frame tents, pole tents, and event structures
- Set up event equipment including lighting, flooring, tables, chairs, and accessories
- Communicate professionally with clients during deliveries
- Maintain accurate counts of inventory during delivery and pickup
- Clean job sites after installation and removal
- Complete paperwork when required
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
- Continue learning installation techniques and equipment procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active outdoor job.
Applicants must be able to:
- Work in non-climate-controlled outdoor environments
- Lift up to 70 lbs
- Stand, bend, and move throughout the day
- Maintain clear communication and teamwork
- Have adequate vision with or without corrective lenses
- Maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications
Preferred but not always required:
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience driving box trucks (helpful but not required)
- Construction, landscaping, or event setup experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Schedule:
- 8–12 hour shifts depending on events
- Weekend availability required during peak season
- Overtime available during busy months
