Position Overview:
Join our team at Camp IHC as a Summer Bus Driver! We are seeking experienced drivers with a CDL Class B (Commercial Driver’s License Class B) and a Passenger endorsement or School Bus endorsement to transport campers and staff to various activities and excursions throughout the summer. This is a summer position (June to August) that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends to accommodate our camp schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CDL (Class B) with a Passenger endorsement, minimum requirement
- Minimum of two years of experience driving a Bus or coach bus
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $20 to $29 per hour (based on experience)
- Opportunity for higher pay if you have your own bus and are willing to use it. Hourly rate will be negotiated above $29 an hour.
- Room and board a possibility with the right candidate
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport campers to and from activities, excursions, and off-site trips
- Provide a positive and friendly atmosphere for campers during transportation
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bus
- Communicate effectively with camp leadership and staff
- Adhere to schedules and routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures
