Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible School Van Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring punctuality, comfort, and safety at all times. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help create a positive experience for every passenger while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate school vans, shuttle vehicles, or similar transportation modes in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
- Pick up and drop off students at designated locations on time while ensuring their safety throughout the journey
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, tires, and other essential systems
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and any incidents or delays during shifts
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules or report issues
- Perform light vehicle maintenance tasks such as cleaning the interior or reporting repairs needed to ensure vehicle safety
Experience
- Previous shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with bus driving or commercial driving is a plus
- Experience in school bus driving or paratransit services highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with students, parents, staff, and colleagues
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for commercial or bus driving; clean driving record required.

Pay: $60.00 – $80.00 per day
