We’re recruiting dependable, organized individuals to deliver mail on an on‑call basis to various communities. Job Responsibilities Sort, collect and deliver mail items safely and on time.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, roads, customers and delivery receptacles.
Ensure mail is safely secured in possession.
Process various CPC products and services such as Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bill (IDB).
Wear Canada Post identification while on delivery and keep it visible.
Lift and carry items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
Make deliveries and operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions.
Mandatory Vehicle Requirements Satisfactory safe driving record.
Valid permanent provincial driver’s license—class 5 or G.
Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1,415 liters).
Automatic transmission.
Power windows.
Metal roof-top and accessory power outlet to accommodate a Canada Post sign and flashing light.
Middle of passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from the ground and maximum interior width of 56”.
Fifth door or hatchback to allow oversized and bulky items to be loaded (preferred).
Provide and maintain required automobile liability insurance.
Notify your insurance company of vehicle use while employed at Canada Post.
Additional Requirements Pass an interview.
Provide a current resume.
Provide a current driver’s abstract dated within the last 30 days.
