Join our dynamic team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver, specializing in freight transportation for a leading logistics provider. This role offers the exciting opportunity to operate tractor-trailers across long distances, delivering critical freight efficiently and safely. As an OTR Driver, you’ll be the backbone of our supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries while enjoying the freedom of the open road. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across regional and national routes.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary.
- Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated loads, flatbed cargo, tankers, or specialized equipment like dump trucks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions preferred.
- Proven truck driving experience in freight delivery, including route driving and load management.
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized trucks such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklift or other equipment when required.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards (DOT).
