Overview
NEM Transport is seeking dependable Drivers to join our team as NEM Transport Drivers. Experience welcome but not necessary. This role involves operating company vehicles to ensure the safe and timely transportation of members across designated routes to and from their doctor appointments. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a clean driving record. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in transportation route driving, to contribute to a reputable transportation company committed to safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns along with great customer service and transporting members.
Requirements
- Strong navigation skills for efficient route planning and execution
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members
- Occasionally long distance trips. Example: Peoria to Champaign, IL
- Must be 21 yrs or older
This role is vital for maintaining the smooth operation of our transportation services while prioritizing safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Pay increase after 90 days to $19.00 an hour. This position does require state certificates that employee is responsible for, the total to obtain is $55.00, defensive driving, CPR/First Aid, and your driving abstract. Must be completed within 3 to 4 days after background check is completed. We do a 7yr background , driving record check, and drug test.
