Job Description:
Mike’s Towing is seeking a dependable and experienced Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator to join our team. This position involves towing and recovery of heavy-duty vehicles including tractor-trailers, buses, and large commercial equipment. Operators must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy-duty towing and recovery operations
- Operate heavy wreckers and recovery equipment safely
- Secure and transport commercial vehicles and equipment
- Complete service documentation and reports
- Communicate professionally with customers, law enforcement, and dispatch
- Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of assigned equipment
- Respond to calls during scheduled shifts and on-call periods
Qualifications:
- CDL Class A required (or ability to obtain)
- Experience operating heavy wreckers or related equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of towing and recovery procedures
- Ability to work in all weather and road conditions
- Clean driving record
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment
