Summary: Warehouse Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods from a warehouse to various locations, while adhering to all laws and regulations. The warehouse Driver must also inspect and maintain the vehicle, loading and unloading cargo, and keeping records of deliveries. Warehouse Driver must possess excellent driving and customer service skills, as well as a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. The warehouse Driver must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to lift 50 lbs. at a time. Warehouse Driver must have the ability to think quickly, and problem solve in order to successfully complete their tasks. They must also have strong communication skills and be reliable and punctual. They not only drive vehicles but also handle various warehouse tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

· Safely transporting goods from a warehouse to various locations.

· Adhering to all laws and regulations.

· Inspecting and maintaining the vehicle.

· Loading and unloading cargo.

· Keeping records of deliveries.

· Using a forklift or pallet jack to load the truck with the correct order.

· Documenting quantities and quality of inventory.

· Verifying orders against invoices.

· Inspecting vehicles for safety and maintenance issues before and after tips

· Maintain a clean driving record.

· Delivering goods from the warehouse to various locations including businesses and customers

· Checking the quantity and quality of received products and recording necessary information

· Ensuring the cleanliness and good working order of delivery vehicles

· Performing regular vehicle maintenance checks

· Coordinating with the warehouse staff to plan deliveries and pick-ups

· Keeping logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders and vehicle movements

· Following traffic laws and road regulations

· Inspecting and operating warehouse machinery like forklifts

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Ability to drive in the early mornings.

· Ability to lift and move heavy packages

· Good organizational and communication skills

· Ability to follow directions and safety protocols

· Experience in driving and operating material-handling equipment

· Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and regulations

· Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle

· Ability to lift and carry heavy items

· Reliable

· Organized

· Excellent driving record

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to work effectively within a team or independently

· Ability to communicate and deal with customers and co-workers in a tactful, pleasant and courteous manner

· Valid Driver’s License required

· Clearance of background check, MVR and drug screen

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.

*Please note the probationary period for this position is 90 calendar days.
