Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks such as tanker trucks, to deliver propane and related gas across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and vehicle maintenance standards.
- Follow established delivery routes diligently, managing schedules to meet customer expectations while optimizing efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or potential issues during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to handling propane, operating heavy machinery, and driving in various conditions.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles, especially with propane truck.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles and specialized equipment.
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and load & unload procedures for gas handling.
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and maintain safety standards at all times.
- Excellent driving record with experience in delivering propane or hazardous materials preferred.
- Capable of managing multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
