Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This position is essential for ensuring efficient operations within our warehouse while also handling delivery tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have experience in both warehouse environments and driving, particularly with box trucks. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and excellent communication with customers and team members.
Duties
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles using manual handling techniques.
- Safely operate a box truck for route driving to deliver products to various locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while providing exceptional customer service during each interaction.
- Maintain an organized warehouse environment by managing inventory and ensuring proper storage of materials.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of products as needed, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of shipments, including packing and labeling items for delivery.
- Conduct routine inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Perform miscellaneous in-store and property maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a delivery/warehouse setting is preferred.
- Valid, clean driver’s license (CDL is not necessary) is necessary. Copy of a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience as a delivery driver or courier is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds, team lifting) and move items safely within the warehouse environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and deliveries.
