Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver goods to commercial and residential locations following designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation of all shipments.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it meets safety standards and complies with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies related to driving, weight handling, and load securement.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and resolving any issues efficiently.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role involving route driving and heavy lifting.
- Warehouse experience is highly desirable to understand loading/unloading procedures and inventory handling.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and weight handling in the workplace.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks/electric pallet jacks safely when moving large or heavy items.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Excellent navigation skills for efficient route planning and time management.

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
