WP Davis Excavation LLC is hiring a full-time CDL Truck Driver to support excavation, site work, material hauling, and heavy civil construction projects.
CDL-A is preferred due to tractor-trailer and equipment hauling needs, but experienced CDL-B drivers with strong construction, dump truck, or heavy civil experience may be considered.
We are based in Hampton, New Hampshire and perform commercial, municipal, DOT, and heavy civil construction work throughout New Hampshire and Maine.
This position is a good fit for an experienced CDL driver who is comfortable driving construction trucks, working around active job sites, hauling equipment and materials, and supporting field crews safely and reliably.

About the Role:
As a CDL Truck Driver, you will drive company trucks to haul equipment, materials, aggregates, tools, and job-site supplies to and from active job sites. Work may include driving tractor-trailer combinations, tri-axle dump trucks, lowbed/lowboy trailers, tag trailers, flatbeds, and other company trucks.
This role requires a driver who can operate safely on the road and on active construction sites, communicate clearly with supervisors and field crews, complete basic inspections, follow DOT and company safety requirements, and assist with site support when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Drive company trucks to support excavation, site work, material hauling, and heavy civil construction projects.
- Haul equipment, materials, aggregates, tools, and job-site supplies safely and efficiently
- Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment or materials in accordance with company and DOT requirements
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain awareness of job-site conditions, ground crews, equipment, traffic, overhead hazards, and backing conditions
- Communicate with supervisors, operators, laborers, vendors, inspectors, and other crew members
- Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and job-site procedures
- Keep trucks, trailers, and work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Assist with site support, loading, unloading, cleanup, and other field tasks when needed
- Maintain accurate paperwork, logs, delivery tickets, inspection reports, and related documentation as required
Requirements:
- CDL-A preferred
- CDL-B drivers with strong construction, dump truck, or heavy civil experience may be considered
- Experience driving commercial trucks in construction, excavation, heavy civil, or active job-site environments
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment or materials
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT medical card
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to reliably commute to job sites throughout New Hampshire and Maine
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of DOT requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Willingness to assist with site support, loading, unloading, and cleanup when needed
Preferred Experience:
- CDL-A with experience driving tractor-trailer combinations
- Experience driving tri-axle dump trucks, lowbed/lowboy trailers, tag trailers, flatbeds, dump trailers, or equipment trailers
- Experience hauling construction equipment, aggregates, materials, tools, and job-site supplies
- Experience securing equipment and materials for transport
- Air brake experience preferred
- OSHA 10, hoisting license, equipment operating experience, or construction labor experience is a plus
Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
