Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This position involves route driving, transporting freight, and ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Operate Side Dump and dump trucks safely and efficiently.
- Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations on time.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the truck.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker and tractor-trailer operation.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route navigation.
- Ability to handle refrigerated trailers and perform load/unload tasks efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to freight transportation.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Good physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
