CDL semi truck driver Jobs in Empire, NV at Empire Mining Co., LLC
With direction and supervision from the Mine Manager, and or General Manager, this hands-on individual will be responsible for safely operating truck and trailer combination sets. The operator will need to maneuver the truck and trailer sets for loading and unloading and will transport mined material from the mine to the processing plant. Each load is 12-miles round-trip.
Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient hauling of Mined material from the mine to the processing plant (all off-road).
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- General routine maintenance of truck and trailer sets – such as checking fluids, greasing, etc. Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Ability to drive long hours
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid driving license’

Experience:
- Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Preferred)
- Heavy haul: 2 years (Preferred)
- Manual transmission – 18 speed: 2 years (Preferred)
