Position Description
This role involves operating a tractor trailer and/or tandem dump trailer for deliveries of aggregate materials within a 75-mile radius. You will be responsible for safe, efficient hauling and representing the company professionally on job sites and on the road.
As a Combination CDL Driver, you may also be asked to provide input on dispatching and delivery opportunities and assist with training new drivers when needed.
Key Responsibilities
– Safely operate tractor trailers and/or tandem dump trucks
– Haul aggregate materials to and from job sites
– Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
– Follow all DOT and state regulations
– Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
– Communicate with dispatch and management regarding deliveries
– Assist in training and supporting new drivers when needed
Minimum Requirements
– Valid CDL (Class A preferred; Class B considered)
– Clean motor vehicle record
– Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain a valid medical card
– Ability to pass drug screening
– 3–5 years of experience operating tractor trailers
– Ability to safely operate manual transmission
– Strong understanding of DOT rules and safe driving practices
– Willingness to work full-time with seasonal flexibility
– Ability to work well with others and follow direction
Preferred Experience
– Prior experience hauling aggregate materials such as sand, gravel, or stone
– Experience operating rock trailers
– Tanker endorsement is a plus
