Position Title: Yard Worker with CDL – Post Falls, Idaho
We are seeking an experienced Yard Worker with Forklift and Truck driving experience in the lumber and building materials industry.
Who are we?
We are a privately held organization headquartered in Woodinville, Washington that specializes in selling dimensional lumber and other building materials on a wholesale basis to framers, general contractors and project owners. We operate 12 branches that serve customers at job sites throughout the U.S. This position is based out of our Post Falls, Idaho Branch.

Role Overview
This is a hourly, non-exempt, full-time position targeted at 40 hours per week.
This role reports to Brady Tommerup, Manager of the Matheus Lumber’s Post Falls branch. This role supports the distribution and delivery of lumber and building materials to customers, which includes framers, general contractors, and project owners.
Specific duties include:
Yard requirements
· Operate forklift with accuracy and safety
· Preparing orders as described in dispatch ticket
· Assist with inventory counts
· Perform quality and inventory checks on incoming materials
· Pack goods in the warehouse by hand when the situation demands.
· Carry out simple maintenance on the forklift, like washing, checking fluids, and refueling.
· Identify and report mechanical issues to the supervisor.
Truck Driver requirements
- CDL required
- Walk around vehicle and inspect equipment looking for fluid leeks, worn or frayed hoses, worn parts and equipment, low air pressure, brakes, gas, oil and water. Add or replenish fluids and air when needed and report any repairs to maintenance staff.
- Move vehicle to yard area where palletized materials and other items are loaded onto truck with forklift. Confirm load contents with work order. Get shipping manifest and pick-up and delivery instructions from dispatcher.
- Apply straps, ropes, blocks, and secures cargo load for transport, sometimes apply tarp.
- Drive truck to destination, apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
- Supervise offload of materials at delivery destination and collects necessary delivery documents/payments, or receipts.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch office for delivery instructions.
· Operate in accordance with OSHA forklift rules and regulations.
· Load and unload materials from trucks.

- Five (5) years of driving, forklift and lumber experience.
Pay: $29.00 – $36.00 per hour
