Job Title: Yard Technician/Delivery Driver (Laborer)
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly (non-exempt) position $19.00 – $22.00 DOE
Reports To: Branch Manager
Yard/ Driver Job Summary
Within the position you support the Fresno Location, assisting with loading and unloading equipment from company vehicles and trailers, making deliveries and pick-ups when instructed, general cleanup of the facility, and greeting and assisting customers in the yard.

Yard Technician / Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities
· Performs daily inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure they are safe to operate and equipped with current registration, insurance information, and accident reporting documentation.
· Understands all safety and operating features of the equipment being delivered and provides equipment familiarity training to customers or end users upon delivery.
· Safely loads, transports, unloads, and stages equipment while following all company safety procedures and Department of Transportation requirements.
· Carries and properly utilizes all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hard hats, ear protection, safety footwear, gloves, and safety harnesses for boom lifts and other applicable equipment.
· Maintains a professional and friendly attitude when greeting and assisting customers in the yard and during deliveries.
· Assists with loading and unloading equipment from company vehicles, trailers, and third-party transportation providers.
· Pulls sold or rental equipment and accessories as directed; washes equipment, checks fluid levels, and tags items with the customer name and delivery information.
· Stages sold equipment in designated areas to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
· Brings all packing slips, manuals, and related documentation to the Inventory Supervisor.
· Safely unloads returned equipment, refuels as necessary, records operating hours and fuel consumption, and assists with staging equipment for check-in.
· Inspects all returning rental or demonstration equipment for damage, missing parts, missing operating instructions, and damaged or missing safety decals, reporting findings to the Inventory Manager or Service Manager.
· Thoroughly cleans equipment using pressure washers and approved detergents prior to returning units to inventory.
· Advises the Inventory Manager of machine hours and verifies fluid levels and filter conditions before equipment is returned to inventory.
· Assists in the assembly and preparation of new equipment as needed.
· Performs routine maintenance on pressure washing equipment and maintains a clean, organized, and safe wash bay area.
· Demonstrates a thorough understanding of pressure washer operation and consistently complies with all safety instructions.
· Operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and training requirements.
· Maintains the organization and appearance of the front and back lots, ensuring equipment is properly stocked, staged, and ready for customer needs.
· Assists with equipment transfers and deliveries between company locations and to customer job sites as required.
· Completes all required delivery, pickup, inspection, and tracking documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
· Supports inventory control efforts by maintaining accurate records and promptly communicating discrepancies or concerns to management.
· Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction or agricultural equipment preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
Yard/ Driver Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
· Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices.
· Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
· Ability to work with limited supervision.
· Must be a well-organized, thoughtful, and self-motivated person.
· Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task.
Yard/ Driver Physical Requirements
· Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
