Modivcare is looking for Wheelchair Drivers to join our team. This position is responsible for transporting passengers to their destination as defined through a mileage radius from the operations center.

This role is available in Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Androscoggin & Cumberland County, ME
The schedule is Monday – Friday, hours can range from 4:00AM – 8:00PM EST
This role…
- Operates vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, other road users, and self.
- Transports passengers to and from medical facilities and/or home in a timely and safe manner.
- Familiarizes self with designated routes, utilized maps, or GPS systems to efficiently navigate to destinations while minimizing delays.
- Regularly inspects vehicle for maintenance needs and is in good working order; maintains a clean vehicle at all times.
- Completes mechanical checklist at the start of each shift and reports any mechanical problems to management.
- Completes and enters daily trip sheets for each transport.
- Ensures all required permits, licenses, and documentation are up-to-date and in order.
- Provides excellent customer service and maintain professionalism with all passengers.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Complies to the expectations of organization contracts and all Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards for driving and vehicle safety.
- Attends Information Systems security trainings and reports information systems security problems.
- Participates in other projects or duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma required.
- Zero (0) plus years of experience.
- Valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle type.
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents.
- In-depth knowledge of navigating the local area to utilize the safest and most efficient routes possible.
- Excellent driving skills and the ability to handle various road and weather conditions.
- Customer-service oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and schedules.
- Physical fitness and stamina for long hours of driving, if applicable.
Salary:
Full-time: $17-$18/hr
Part-time: $25/hr (25 hours/week)
Modivcare will provide a company vehicle, a gas card and a smart phone stipend for this role
