What You’ll Do
- Safely operate commercial refuse collection vehicles on assigned routes.
- Service residential and commercial customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate route and service records as required.
- Identify and report vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
- Work closely with dispatch, supervisors, and fellow drivers to ensure efficient operations.
- Represent Evergreen Waste Management positively in the communities we serve.
- Assist with route improvements and operational efficiencies when opportunities are identified.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday (Typically 4 day week, 10 hour shifts)
- Approximately 40 hours per week with occasional weeks of overtime.
- Occasional Saturday work may be required to accommodate holiday schedules, weather events, or operational needs
- Opportunity for additional hours during periods of growth and expansion or driver shortages

Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and professionalism
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently while remaining a team player
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous waste management experience
- Experience operating commercial trucks or heavy equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude or diesel equipment experience
- Knowledge of local roads and communities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
