Warehouse Prep Technician & Van Driver Jobs in Greater London, England, United Kingdom at Gripvan (London) Ltd

Title: Warehouse Prep Technician & Van Driver

Company: Gripvan (London) Ltd

Location: Greater London, England, United Kingdom

About Us

Gripvan supplies specially designed vans and the latest technical equipment to photographers and filmmakers across London and beyond. We’re a small, close-knit team that works with leading agencies and producers, supporting some of the biggest names in the industry on high-profile shoots. We’re still young, growing fast, and looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey.

The Role

This is a hands-on role split between driving and warehouse work. You’ll drive our 3.5t (Cat B) vans on local and UK deliveries and collections, and between jobs you’ll be in the warehouse prepping, testing and checking equipment in and out. It’s a great way into the industry. Like everyone at Gripvan, your progression from here is down to merit, not time served.

Responsibilities

  • Drive our 3.5t (Cat B) vans to deliver and collect equipment for shoots across London and the UK
  • Prepare, test and pack equipment orders ahead of each job, making sure everything is present and working
  • Check in and inspect returning equipment, flagging any faults, damage or missing items
  • Load and unload vans carefully, following correct handling procedures
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organised and accurately stocked
  • Support the wider team on set or in the warehouse during busy periods
  • Represent Gripvan professionally with clients, crew and members of the public

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in film, photography or the wider production industry
  • Comfortable with hands-on warehouse work: lifting, packing and testing equipment
  • A safety-first mindset — for yourself, the crew and the kit
  • Courteous, friendly and helpful with clients and colleagues alike
  • Well organised, with a good eye for detail — order accuracy matters
  • Flexible and willing to work early starts and occasional evening or weekend call times
  • A team player who’s happy to roll their sleeves up, wherever the job needs it
  • Keen to learn, take on responsibility and grow within the business

Essential Requirements

  • Proven Right to Work in the UK
  • Valid Cat B licence, clean driving record
  • No more than 3 penalty points (no DR, DD or CD endorsements)

Progress With Us

We’re a Small, Growing Team, And We Often Promote From Within. Where You Go Next Is Up To You And How You Perform — There’s No Single Fixed Track. Routes That Have Opened Up For People Who’ve Shown They’re Ready Include

  • Driver CPC and Cat C (Class 2) training, sponsored by us, moving into our Class 2 driving team
  • Warehouse and kit specialism, taking on more responsibility for stock, prep standards and equipment knowledge
  • On-set support and client-facing roles, working more closely with the photographers and crews we supply
  • Operations and coordination, helping plan jobs, routes and scheduling as you learn the business
  • Freelance work as part of the “Gripvan Alumni” family

Perks & Benefits
