Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo lift trucks, to efficiently handle materials and manage warehouse distribution processes. Your expertise will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations, accurate order picking, and proper inventory management within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-organized supply chain while utilizing your mechanical knowledge and equipment repair skills.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Perform order picking using various equipment such as <PERSON> pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating warehouse management systems (WMS) with precise data
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and condition
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment to ensure safe operation; perform minor repairs or coordinate repairs with maintenance teams as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards by following proper lifting techniques, load securing procedures, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve overall warehouse distribution efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting issues promptly
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials handling tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipment quantities
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and equipment use
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly preferred
- Valid forklift certification; experience with equipment repair is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
