River City Fasteners is seeking a reliable, motivated and hands-on Warehouse, Dispatch & Delivery Operator to join our team.
This is a varied role combining warehouse operations, order picking and packing, dispatch, inventory handling and customer deliveries. It would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
About the Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Preparing and processing orders for dispatch and delivery
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely
- Delivering customer orders in a professional and timely manner
- Checking orders and completing delivery and dispatch paperwork
- Assisting with stock control, stocktakes and inventory management
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Supporting the warehouse and wider team with general day-to-day duties as required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Is organised and able to manage tasks efficiently
- Is physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Can work independently and contribute positively within a team
- Has good communication and customer service skills
- Holds a current Australian manual driver licence with a safe driving record
- Is confident driving a delivery vehicle
- Has previous experience in warehousing, pick packing, dispatch or delivery
- Fishbowl Inventory experience highly regarded
- Holds a forklift licence or has forklift experience — advantageous
- Has experience with fasteners, tools, construction supplies or industrial products — highly regarded
