Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse / Driver to join our team. This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles, managing warehouse tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving background, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to coordinate deliveries and warehouse operations efficiently. .
Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, flatbeds, and forklifts.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling techniques.
- Deliver goods to clients or distribution centers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and moving supplies or equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues encountered during routes.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation safety standards.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Valid driver’s license
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and heavy haul or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo and perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial vehicles and warehouse operations. This role is vital for maintaining efficient logistics operations while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction across all delivery routes and warehouse activities.
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
