friendly, and safety-focused Van Shuttle Driver to join our team. This position involves transporting hotel guests to and from the airport and other nearby destinations while providing excellent customer service. The role is more than driving- it includes assisting guests, maintaining hotel property standards, and supporting daily hotel operations as needed.
As one of the first team members guests interact with, the Shuttle Driver plays an important role in creating a positive guest experience.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Evening Shift: Approximately 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transport guests to and from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport and other designated locations.
- Provide friendly, professional, and courteous customer service.
- Assist guests with luggage when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the shuttle vehicle.
- Conduct regular inspections of the shuttle and report any maintenance concerns immediately.
- Perform routine security sweeps of hotel property.
- Monitor and help maintain cleanliness of parking areas and hotel grounds.
- Empty trash receptacles and assist with general property upkeep.
- Ensure lobby coffee stations remain clean and properly stocked.
- Respond to guest questions regarding local attractions, restaurants, events, and directions.
- Complete required work orders and documentation accurately.
- Report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or incidents to management immediately.
- Support hotel operations with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate passenger shuttle vans.
- Knowledge of the Birmingham area preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and professional appearance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to assist guests with luggage.
- Must be able to drive during day and night hours.
