Program Overview

The UNIQLO Management Candidate (UMC) Program is a leadership pathway designed for individuals who aspire to run a business, lead people, and grow with one of the world’s leading global retailers.

At UNIQLO, the store is the beating heart of our business. Through the UMC program, you will gain immersive, hands-on experience in store operations, people's leadership, and business management preparing you to become a Store Manager and future business leader within UNIQLO Malaysia and beyond.

This is not a conventional graduate role. It is a fast paced, high ownership program designed for those who are motivated by challenge, driven by results, and eager to make an impact from day one. Relocation within Malaysia is part of the experience for initial placement and future development within the program.

Program Structure

  1. Building Strong Operational Foundation: Master the basic store operations and embrace UNIQLO values.
  2. Stepping Into Team Leadership: Take on greater responsibility in leading daily operations which will develop your core people's management, communication, and decision-making skills.
  3. Driving Store & Business Performance: This is where you transition from team leader to business driver, people development and taking on business challenges.

UMC Ideal Candidate

  • We are looking for individuals who:

Key Requirements

  • Final year students or fresh graduates with a bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
  • Minimum CGPA 3.0 / Second Class Upper (or equivalent).
  • Willing and able to work retail hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Open to relocation within Malaysia based on business needs.
  • Strong interest in retail, people's leadership, and long-term career growth.
