Job Title:
Medical Adult Daycare Driver Essential Functions
- Responsible for maintaining a schedule of transportation to and from the center, including keeping meticulous records of pick‑up and drop‑off of participants.
- Assists participants in getting in and out of the vehicle as necessary.
- Reports immediately to the program director if a participant does not appear for scheduled transportation.
- Attempts to determine if the participant is unable to answer the door or the phone or has gone away for the day.
- Maintains a schedule of vehicle maintenance, including documented safety checks of safety devices.
- Must be physically able to perform the required duties and assist frail, elderly, and disabled adults.
- Able to read and write English fluently.
- Must provide a health examination signed by a physician and a TB clearance not older than 12 months prior to employment or within 7 days of employment.
Education and Work Experience
- High School education or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have experience in transporting patients.
- Training in emergency procedures.
Certification and Licenses
- Current CPR and first aid certification.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have auto insurance.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and possession of a valid driver’s license.
