Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The driver is expected to maintain a high level of flexibility and agility to support changing operational needs. This includes adapting to evolving schedules, adjusting to different routes, handling last-minute delivery changes, and responding to unexpected delays or equipment issues. The ability to remain responsive and solution-oriented while on the road is essential to ensure timely deliveries and uphold service commitments.
Responsibilities
– Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
– Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws
– Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 13,000 lbs. as well as box trucks and closed vans.
– Transport goods to assigned destination.
– Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
– Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
– Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients.
– Communicate with dispatch as needed.
– Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document.
– Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
– Maintain driving and delivery logs and retain fuel receipts.
– Adhere to company rules and regulations.
– Make safety a priority at all times.
Qualifications
– Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A required
– 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred.
– Ability to operate forklifts for loading/unloading is a plus
– Familiarity with route driving and freight handling
– Proven track record of safe driving practices
– Flatbed truck strapping experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
