Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Makassar. The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport containers and cargo between designated locations, following assigned routes and schedules.
Daily tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring proper loading and unloading of goods, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. The role involves adherence to all transportation safety standards and company policies, including compliance with relevant regulations. The Truck Driver will also coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams, report any vehicle or route issues, and help maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of the truck.
Qualifications
- Strong truck driving skills, including experience with container transport and safe vehicle operation (Truck Driving, Truck).
- Valid CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle license, with a clean driving record (CDL Class
A).
- Knowledge of relevant transportation and safety regulations, including DOT or local regulatory standards (DOT Regulations).
- Ability to handle loading and unloading activities safely, including basic cargo securing and handling procedures (Unloading).
- Previous experience as a truck driver in logistics, shipping, or related industries is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and coordinate with dispatch and operations teams.
- Physical fitness sufficient for driving long distances and performing basic loading, unloading, and vehicle checks.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and professional conduct on the road and at customer locations.
