Role Description The Truck Driver will operate company trucks for safe and timely delivery of cargo across assigned routes, following company schedules and instructions. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, securing and handling loads, and assisting with unloading when required. The role involves complying with relevant transport and safety regulations, maintaining accurate delivery and mileage records, and reporting any incidents, delays, or mechanical issues promptly. The Truck Driver will work closely with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams to support efficient logistics, uphold service quality, and represent RST Group professionally with customers and partners.
Qualifications
- Strong truck operation skills, including Truck Driving and safe handling of Truck equipment.
- Valid CDL Class A (or equivalent heavy vehicle license) and a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations or comparable local transport and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform Unloading and basic load handling while maintaining cargo safety.
- Experience with long-distance or urban freight operations and route planning.
- Attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude when working with dispatch and operations teams.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of driving and cargo handling safely.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or freight operations is an advantage.
