Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including those with manual transmissions, automated transmissiona, belt trailer and hopper trailer hauling ag materials
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as payloaders when necessary, ensuring secure and balanced loads.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Follow assigned routes diligently, managing route driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
- Ensure proper documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs; communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding any delays or issues.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle interior and exterior to uphold company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during every trip.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers .
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures, including the use of forklifts or other loading equipment.
- Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types driven; clean driving record required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
