Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes while adhering to delivery schedules. Experience with various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, and tankers, is highly desirable. 2 years experience requires
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, and tankers.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while following designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary; ensure proper securing of loads for safe transport.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with various truck types such as flatbeds, dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, and tankers.
- Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently through urban and rural areas.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Commitment to safety protocols and regulations in transportation.
