Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Orlando, FL. The Truck Driver will safely operate company trucks to transport full truckload freight, including high-value and time-sensitive shipments, while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety standards. Daily responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and protecting cargo, and managing required driving logs and documentation. The driver will load and unload freight as needed, communicate proactively with dispatch and operations teams, and maintain professional interactions with customers at pickup and delivery locations. The role also involves monitoring equipment condition, reporting maintenance needs promptly, and adhering to route plans and delivery schedules to ensure on-time, damage-free service.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and a strong foundation in Truck Driving for over-the-road and regional routes.
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safety compliance requirements, with the ability to follow all company and legal guidelines.
- Experience operating a commercial Truck and related equipment, including conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Ability to perform Unloading and basic freight handling tasks safely and efficiently, including securing and protecting high-value cargo.
- Previous experience in full truckload, high-value, or temperature-sensitive freight is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism when interacting with dispatch, operations, and customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed, and to meet physical requirements of the job.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional safety or defensive driving training is an advantage.
