Overview
Schmuhl Brothers Inc. is currently hiring experienced Class A CDL Company Drivers for our intermodal operation in the Kansas City area. This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of shipping containers between rail terminals, customer locations, and designated facilities. Drivers can expect consistent freight, home daily schedules, well-maintained equipment, and support from an experienced operations team. We are looking for dependable professionals.

Responsibilities
- Safely transport shipping containers to and from rail yards, customer locations, depots, terminals and more
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance
- Understand how to accommodate to various sizes of chassis and containers
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, including bills of lading, delivery logs, and route reports.
- Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during transit.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license Class A (CDL) endorsements such as Hazmat and Tanker are a definite advantage
- Must be available and willing to work full time and the ability and willingness to drive up to an 11 hour drive time
- This is a full time position, home daily with the ability to drive multiple states when necessary
- Experience in intermodal hauling is expected but not required
Pay: $1,800.00 – $2,550.00 per week
