Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles to deliver freight efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
- Drive on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to guarantee safe transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, fuel consumption, and shipment documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols related to driving heavy machinery like tanker trucks or refrigerated trailers to ensure personal safety and that of others.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across diverse vehicle types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or dump trucks.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices to optimize delivery times.
- Skilled in load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual handling techniques when necessary.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and efficiently.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation of hazardous or specialized freight like refrigerated goods or tankers.
- Experience with truck maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting skills.

Pay: $1,200.00 – $2,000.00 per week
