Tree Crew CDL Operator Jobs in Newbury Center, OH at Tree Guardians
Independent Tree is currently hiring a crane & heavy equipment operator for our tree crew. This position is excellent for an individual with existing experience in tree/land clearing, operating heavy equipment such as cranes, debris loaders, skid steers, chippers, chainsaws, and more.
Candidates for this position should be enthusiastic and experienced with the skills needed to safely complete assigned work.
What candidates should possess:
- Valid CDL Required, Class B minimum (subject to MVR review)
- Prior Experience with Crane Operation
- Preferable: Experience as a crane operator/material handler in the tree industry
- Attention to detail and desire for quality work in all operations
- Ownership mentality
- Excellent communication skills
- Safety First Focus on the job
- Multi-task and meet deadlines
- Willingness to assist on ground crew, prior tree e experience is a plus
- Enjoy working as a team in varying weather conditions
Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol testing and a background check.
Job duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for crane operation and job site supervision for tree service work on residential and commercial properties
- Properly prepare, maintain, and safely operate all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Daily Inspection of Crane
- Assist ground crew on the job site
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Participate in ongoing safety training and development
