AncoraTN (ATN), formerly End Slavery Tennessee, works tirelessly to nurture survivor healing and strategically combat human trafficking in Middle Tennessee. We seek to break cycles of exploitation and support survivors of human trafficking as they heal from their traumas offering long-term, comprehensive aftercare services. Through training communities and professionals, advocating for legal changes, and implementing prevention programming, AncoraTN works to stop human trafficking before it ever begins.

REPORTS TO: Residential Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Transportation and Resident Support Coordinator will provide comprehensive, trauma-informed services to survivors of human trafficking in Middle Tennessee, utilizing AncoraTN’s in-house programs, community partnerships, and collaborative service providers. This role is responsible for coordinating and providing safe, reliable transportation for survivors using ATN-owned vehicles, ensuring access to medical appointments, legal services, employment, and other essential resources. The Coordinator will assist with meeting the day-to-day needs of residents, helping to create a safe, stable, and supportive living environment. Responsibilities include supporting residents with life skills, navigating resources, maintaining household routines, and responding to needs as they arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transport human trafficking survivors to various appointments throughout Nashville and surrounding communities in the Middle Tennessee service area.

Maintain and oversee transportation calendar to make sure client needs are coordinated and prioritized.

Maintain and oversee vehicle maintenance (Vehicle maintenance will include oil changes, fluid refills, air filter replacement, wiper blade replacement, tire repair and replacement, and general routine maintenance

Maintain and oversee registration for all ATN transport vehicles. Keep up to date calendar and log for all vehicle maintenance and needs.

Ensure all vehicles have updated copies of insurance card, ensure all vehicle FOBs are functioning properly.

Coordinate all major repairs and auto accidents with the Chief Operations Officer (COO). If any ATN vehicle key is lost, damaged, or coordinate with COO for replacement key.

Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other organizations as needed.

Coordinate closely with the Residential Manager, Survivor Care Coordinators, Survivor Care Program Manager, Director of Survivor Care, and other staff members to carry out the mission and in development of an ever-improving system of care for the survivors we serve.

Complete Second Harvest open shopping for survivor food banks on a routine basis.

Must be willing and able to work in a trauma-informed, strengths-based culture and to make good, contextualized decisions.

Engage with and monitor the residents for potential issues that may arise and provide the first level of support for the campus.

Oversee completion of household chores. Complete chore checks each night to ensure the house is kept clean.

Call and inform on-call staff when there may be a possible issue (when someone comes in late, when someone appears to be under the influence, when there is an emergency, etc.)

Maintain order in the home as much as possible and use appropriate de-escalation techniques. Resident support staff will be responsible for alerting on-call staff when an issue begins to escalate.

Help assist in welcoming new residents.

Monitor basic house needs (food, toiletries, etc.).

Comply with agency policy and procedures and maintain all required documentation, including reporting grants, in a professional and timely manner.

Any other tasks given by the supervisor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is carried out primarily driving a vehicle with extensive setting, intermittent standing, and walking. Some light physical activity is required. Work is also performed while sitting and using the computer, phone, and engaged in face-to-face conversation with staff and/or clients. Some car travel and use of personal vehicle is required. This position is an in-office position. It is not eligible to work from home and must report into the office daily.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience in equivalent position with experience working with trauma, substance abuse, sexual exploitation, victim assistance, child protective services, youth in foster care, or human trafficking populations.

Clean driving record; Valid driver’s license, state-required driver’s insurance, and access to reliable personal transportation.

Demonstrated excellence in time management, scheduling, and punctuality.

Demonstrated ability to understand and implement best practices around services for at-risk individuals and families.

Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, and prompt response to messages.

People-oriented with demonstrated ability to build rapport and gain trust with diverse populations.

Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Able to maintain confidentiality, as required by law and in the best interest of survivors, staff and the agency.

Fast learner, quick mind, capacity for hard work, teachable and flexible.

Ability and willingness to work irregular hours.

Familiarity with trauma informed care.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Initial and subsequent random drug screening is required as per agency policy.

A background check is required.

JOB TYPE:

Full-time, Friday-Tuesday 8am-4pm (willing to work some evening, as needed). Some travel may be required. This position is part of an on-call rotation.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Base Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 based on a combination of education and experience.

Benefits:

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance. Eligible after 30 days of employment. (100% employer paid plan options)

$150.00/ month for therapy reimbursement

120 hours PTO accrued 10 hours/month. Eligible after 30 days of employment.

96 hours of sick leave accrued 4 hours/pay period. Eligible after 30 days of employment.

13 paid holidays

4 floating holidays. Eligible after 30 days of employment, then annually.

Employer 403b match up to 1% of salary based on employee contributions and dependent on annual board vote. Eligible after 6 months of employment
