Transport Driver

Position Summary:

The purpose of this role is to assist, as needed, to safely and efficiently delivery vehicles to/from the dealership to customer locations and between company dealerships. This is a part-time, as-needed position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Safely and efficiently transport purchased/sold vehicles to identified locations by the Sales Manager agreed-upon coordinator.
• Responsible for completing walk around safety check of each vehicle in accordance with standard safety protocols and any related DOT pre-trip inspection requirements.
• Plan routes for travel in consideration of weather, available resources (fuel, etc.) and awareness of construction activities.
• Maintain travel records including logbooks, mileage, expense receipts and associated time per agreement with Manager.
• Reimbursement for any receipts will require documentation and an expense report. All fuel receipts are to be turned in at the time of the final delivery.
• Communicate any issues, accidents, customer concerns and weather concerns immediately to the Manager or agreed-upon coordinator.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and deliver in accordance with delivery instructions.
• Maintain friendly and courteous interactions with customers at point of delivery
• Attending company meetings as required by Manager.
• Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company’s business and all roads traveled.
• Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
• Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.

Special Note: Hours can change with each delivery. Pay is hourly with variable rates based on trip requirements.

Qualifications

Education required

• High school diploma or the equivalent.

License/Certification Requirements

• Valid CDL Driver’s License, updated Medical Card with a clean driving record

Other

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards.
