Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge and mechanical skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and assisting customers in need, ensuring a professional and efficient service at all times.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks and flatbed vehicles to transport disabled or illegally parked vehicles.
- Perform vehicle diagnostics and basic mechanical repairs as needed to ensure safe towing.
- Load and unload vehicles securely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing assistance and resolving any conflicts that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of towing activities, including vehicle condition and customer interactions.
- Conduct regular inspections of towing equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with dispatchers to respond promptly to calls for assistance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repair is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is preferred including familiarity with manual transmission systems.
- Valid state-issued drivers license with good driving record
- Experience operating tow trucks and flatbed vehicles is preferred
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Previous experience as a mechanic or in automotive repair is a plus.
- Proficient in driving various types of vehicles.
