Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. *CDL A PERFERRED FOR DRIVERS* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbeds. *OUR SHOP IS LOCATED IN HACKENSACK* This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with clients during roadside assistance calls. A commitment to safety and professionalism is essential, as you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbeds, to transport vehicles safely to designated locations.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and basic mechanical repairs as needed on-site.
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently while ensuring minimal damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and assisting them during emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered, including vehicle condition reports.
- Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid CDL license.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in conflict management and customer service is highly desirable.
