Job Overview
Bret’s Towing and Auto Repair is seeking a dependable Tow Truck Driver/ Auto Technician that has automotive repair knowledge to add to our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing exceptional customer service, and performing automotive repair or maintenance. Your mechanical knowledge will be instrumental in delivering prompt, professional service that keeps our customers moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Operate a flatbed tow truck to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic automotive repair and maintenance items
- Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring secure transportation while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with customers, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and delivery details for record-keeping purposes.
- Assist with related tasks as needed to support operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record; experience with tow truck operation is preferred but we are willing to train the right person
- Automotive mechanical repair knowledge.
- Familiarity with automotive repair tools.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely while following all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and securing vehicles on the truck bed.
- Able to lift 50 pounds. Bend, kneel, stand, and able to maneuver in tight spaces.
