Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently
- Assess vehicle conditions using automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to determine appropriate towing methods
- Load and unload vehicles carefully, ensuring proper securing techniques to prevent damage during transit
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally
- Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, maintaining a positive attitude even under pressure
- Perform routine inspections of tow truck equipment and perform basic automotive repairs or adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of each job, vehicle condition, and any incidents
Qualifications
- Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, or mechanic work is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmissions helpful
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures and mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, semi wreckers
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while following safety protocols
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact
- Be able to learn the digital dispatching system
