Position: Supervisor – Rail Lubrication ON
Adecco is currently hiring a Supervisor – Rail Lubrication for a full-time opportunity with a leading rail infrastructure organization. This role is ideal for an experienced rail engineering or maintenance professional who enjoys field leadership, technical problem-solving, and managing programs that directly impact rail life extension and operational efficiency. In this position, you will oversee the rail lubrication program, manage unionized maintenance staff, develop friction management strategies, and ensure safe and efficient operation of lubricating systems across the rail network.

Responsibilities
- People Management
- Establish employee objectives
- Provide mentorship, guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to direct reports
- Train and mentor new staff
- Communicate company policies, expectations, and standards
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on friction management for the Engineering team
Quality Responsibilities
- Ensure all rail lubricators are functioning efficiently
- Develop and implement friction management strategies
- Perform audits on rail lubricators
- Conduct track inspections with Engineering teams to address friction management issues
- Assist and educate Engineering teams on friction management practices
Safety Responsibilities
- Communicate company safety policies, expectations, and standards
- Perform dynamic audits on unionized employees
- Ensure compliance with company and departmental safety targets
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Experience – Railway and Management
- Minimum 2 years of railroad experience in Engineering
- Experience in track maintenance, construction, or production
- Experience in project management
- Experience leading unionized employees
- Experience in data analytics
- Experience in rail flaw detection, welding, grinding, or lubrication

- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Valid driver’s license
- Track Inspection Guidelines certification
- Canadian Rail Operating Rules certification

Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor field-based role in varying weather conditions
- On-call availability required 24/7 for critical incidents
- Frequent travel (approximately 80%) across CN’s rail network in Canada
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and handle operational pressure
- Requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills in field environments
