Affordable Tire & Brake Co. has been located at 711 Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard in Portland, OR for the last 20 years as an auto repair center and tire dealer. Since the beginning, our business has been focused on building strong customer relationships and providing the highest quality of workmanship for every automotive repair.
Affordable Tire is seeking a top caliber Shop Helper / Driver. As a shop helper and driver, you must possess a valid and current driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment MVR, and criminal background check.
COMPENSATION: Pay ranges from $17- $19 per hour depending on experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick up parts and tires using company vehicle.
- Organize parking lot and street parking for cars being worked on.
- Help stage vehicles for tire replacement and auto repairs.
- Get vehicle information (i.e. VIN number and mileage for office when checking in cars)
- Deliver parts to technician work stations.
- Help keep shop and office clean and organized.
- Take out garbage, scrap tires, and recycling as needed.
- Help with opening or close of shop depending on work schedule.
- Help transport customer cars for sublet repairs as needed.
- Receive and stock inventory, including tires
Qualifications:
- Clean and valid drivers license
- Must be 18 years old
- Must be able to drive manual transmission (3 pedals)
- Will work 5 days per week, including Saturdays. Days of per week may not be together
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
