What to Expect in This Role:
Typical Workday:
Arrive at the shop yard at 6:30AM to pre-trip inspect the truck and prepare for your day.
Gather your tools/equipment and head out to your first scheduled job.
Use a cell phone to complete each job with our specialized septic software, check in with the office and fellow drivers as needed.
Dump the truck at the treatment plant once or twice per day, depending on job volume.
Typical Job Responsibilities:
Arrive at a customer’s home/business, introduce yourself, and obtain pre-authorization signatures if needed.
Gather the necessary tools, locate and dig up buried septic tank lids as needed (some may be 2-3 feet deep).
Run a 30-150 foot vacuum hose and pump out the septic tank.
Inspect key components of the tank before covering the lids.
Accurately complete service forms, collect payment, and enter details in software.
Communicate clearly with the customer and office.
Provide top-notch customer service with a great attitude—a smile goes a long way.
Compensation:
- $24.00-$25.00 per hour
- Eligible for holiday pay after 1 year
- Eligible for 5 days of vacation after 1 year

Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- Weekends Optional
- Start time: 6:30am End Time: Varies by daily schedule – 2pm – 5pm is typical.
- Overtime available

License & Requirements:
- CDL (Class B or A) (Required)
- Any valid drivers license for at least 7 years (Required)
- Tanker Endorsement (Required or must be obtained after hiring)
- Septic industry experience (Preferred but not required—we will train)

Vehicle Used:
- 2015 Freightliner M2 – 4000-gallon tanker truck (automatic transmission)

Requirements:

- Able to use a shovel – Some lids are exposed, but others may require digging up to two feet in rocky soil.
- Comfortable getting a little dirty – It’s part of the job!
- Physically capable – Must be able to bend, pull, and lift.
- CDL (Class B or Class A) REQUIRED – Tanker endorsement is required or must be obtained.
