CDL-A Semi-Regional Driver – Dedicated Amazon Account – New Jersey- Home Often
We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated Amazon account running regional freight throughout New Jersey. This is a steady opportunity hauling Amazon trailers and freight between distribution centers across the state with weekly home time and consistent daily pay.
Pay & Schedule
- $267.00 per day
- 6-day work week required
- Estimated weekly gross: $1,602 before taxes
- Average 2,400 miles per week
- 34-hour reset at home weekly
- Home time is not guaranteed on specific days but 10 hour break at home a couple of times per week is possible since you are going back and forth from Teterboro to locations around New Jersey
- Must be willing to work weekends
Route Details
- Dedicated Amazon freight
- Regional New Jersey runs
- Routes and stop-offs vary daily and weekly
- Primary areas include Teterboro, Carteret, Edison, Somerset, Robbinsville, Florence, Burlington, and surrounding New Jersey locations
- Pickups begin in Somerset, Robbinsville, Florence, or Burlington, NJ
Hiring Area
- Must live within 30 miles of the hiring area
- Drivers must currently live in New Jersey
- No applicants living outside New Jersey
- Drivers must currently live in the hiring area
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid CDL-A required
- Must have a smartphone
- Amazon Relay app is required for this account
Experience Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- 3 months of current verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience in the past year and completion of an accredited CDL school or reputable carrier training program within the past 2 years
- 1 year of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years
- 6 months of verifiable local experience, or a combination of OTR, regional, and local experience in the past year, and completion of an accredited school or carrier-approved training program
Additional experience requirements:
- Experience must be in a Class A tractor pulling trailers 45 feet or longer
- Previous jobs must have required a Class A CDL
- If you have less than 12 months of experience, TDS information and TDS certificate may be required
- If your address does not match your CDL, it must be corrected before onboarding
Driving Record Requirements
- No more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No accidents with a citation for a moving violation in the past 3 years
- No moving violation suspensions exceeding 3 months in the most recent 3 months
- Total suspensions or expirations cannot exceed 3 months in the previous 15 months
- DUI/DWI: none in the past 5 years and no more than 2 in a lifetime
Work History Requirements
- Cannot have 5 or more jobs in the past year
- No more than 9 jobs in the past 3 years
- No more than 12 months of unemployment in the past 36 months unless employed as a Class A driver within the last 6 months before applying
Automatic Disqualifiers
- Failed drug or alcohol test
- Registered sex offender
- Reckless driving
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- Speeding 20+ mph over the limit
- Violating an out-of-service order
- Passing a school bus
- Coasting out of gear
