Seasonal CDL Class A Driver Jobs in Romulus, MI at Site Supply Inc.
Site Supply, Inc. is a unionized, private material-transporting trucking company in Romulus, Michigan servicing the Southeast Michigan area. We transport material such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, asphalt, etc. to and from job sites. We’re looking for a full-time experienced truck driver to load, transport, and unload our paving equipment for our seasonal asphalt paving and site development work.
Driver is responsible for loading and unloading equipment such as rollers, pavers, and skid steers to and from the job sites in Southeast Michigan. Must possess excellent customer service skills, keep truck clean, and abide by all state, local, and federal laws. This is a seasonal position that runs approximately April through December.
Pay is Teamster wages and depends on experience level:
Tri-axle — $28.25/hr
Semi — $29.25/hr
Qualifications and Skills
- MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
- Must be able to physically handle moving paving equipment from site to site
- Valid class A CDL with airbrakes
- Experience moving paving equipment
- Must have at least 1 year sand/gravel/asphalt dump truck driving experience
- Willing to work overtime and weekends.
- Must have experience with manual transmission.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Load and unload equipment such as rollers, pavers, and skid steers
- Load and unload material at appropriate site.
- Understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for complete safety checks, including truck equipment and supplies in accordance with CDL pre-trip guidelines.
- Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secured and in appropriate position.
- Responsible for clean truck, including cab and truck bed.
- Maintain positive relationships with all employees, customers and community.
