Purpose & Summary

Looking for seasonal agricultural work? Have a CDL or are interested in obtaining one? Ag‑Land FS, Inc. is hiring seasonal employees to assist with agronomy operations during the busy season.

This position supports daily operations at the agronomy facility and includes operating single, tandem, or multi‑axle trucks to deliver and/or pick up agronomy and energy products between company locations and customer sites. Seasonal employees also assist with general facility and operational tasks as needed.

This role is a good fit for individuals with agricultural experience who are looking for seasonal work and want to gain hands‑on experience in agronomy operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks delivering agronomy and energy products.
  • Perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment, including pre‑trip inspections such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Follow the preventative maintenance program and maintain a clean truck to present a professional appearance.
  • Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials and products safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or by forklift, ensuring loads are evenly balanced and distributed in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure deliveries and pickups are made in accordance with time schedules, promoting superior customer service and professionalism.
  • Complete associated documentation such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices accurately and return them to the branch location at the end of the day.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, records of cargo and any other assigned record‑keeping duties daily.
  • Maintain company equipment according to company standards and perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to the company Uniform Policy and maintain a professional image.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and 2 years or more of related work experience demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor‑trailer or tender truck equipment and to meet company and DOT standards.
  • Demonstrated business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a CDL license with required endorsements and any other applicable certification, license or permit, valid medical card and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work extended hours and on‑call as business conditions warrant.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain other applicable certifications, licenses, and permits.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.), noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and may be required to work at varying heights; able to lift 51–70 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation ranges from $18.00 – $25.00 per hour. This position qualifies for Sunday double‑time hours, holiday pay, and accrued PTO (under the Paid Leave for all Workers Act).
